Love that blouse with stretch? Want that stretch to last? Read the care label! Remember that if you want to protect heat sensitive elastic threads and maintain the great shape and fit of your blouse, tell you cleaner NOT to press and starch it! Most garments with elastic fibers say “COLD IRON” or “NO HEAT”.
Both are unavoidable when opting for the “wash, starch and press” method. The wash, press and starch method (although cheaper than dry cleaning and hand pressing) you risk ruining that blouse. So if you really love it and want it to last, read the label!
If it says cold iron or no heat, don’t opt for the $2-3 machine press, spend the money to dry clean and hand press it to extend its life!
